ROSEVILLE HOUSE
Sydney Australia
Alterations and additions to a 2 storey 6 bedroom house
DESIGN
The existing federation house is characterised through its deep floor plan, emphasised by a previous extension towards the eastern rear garden.
The refurbishment consist in opening the wall between the original double brick house and the previous extension in order to increase their visual connection and, combined with new aluminium sliding doors along the full width of eastern facade, bring additional natural light to the centre of the house. New kitchen, bathrooms and joinery, together with new white paint to walls and ceilings further provide a contemporary contrast to the existing elements characteristics of the federation period such as ceiling stuck and other decorative items.
