Alterations and additions to a 2 storey semi-detached house
DESIGN
The alterations and additions to this semi-detached house comprise the refurbishment of the lounge at the front of the house, the partial refurbishment of the kitchen and some minor work to the bathroom.
The house being listed as item of heritage significance, changes to the front facade are limited. To emphasise the existing bow window and improve the visual connection to the front garden, the built-in joinery, containing TV and fireplace, is placed along the lounge northern wall. The contemporary language used inside the house is continued outside with the new openings at the north eastern corner of the house, which provide increased natural and sun light access into the lounge and the verandah.
